Steve Lawson and I have gone back and forth over who made the first solo-6 string-fretless-bass-looping album. His legacy is absolutely intact having done 100x what I have done in this genre. If you like this at all you NEED to check him out. He's Michael Manrings favorite solo bassist. For that matter you have to check Michael out if you don't know his work... But, yeah, I got Steve by about 6 months..
