about

It's hard to imagine that this dystopian tale of seeking spiritual fulfillment, beauty and rebirth amid societal collapse was written before the Pandemic. But, premonition or not, it was..
The themes of leaving the known and the fading role of memory in realisation are often a part of my ambient work. But, the seeds of "Beautiful Ones" began growing years ago with the birth of my son then the passing away of my parents. The "Uncreated Light"was both revealed and concealed to me and many solid familiarities fell away.. The "Beautiful Ones" are children, buddhas, Rilke's angels, and ultimately our true selves stripped of all falsehood..
The album is designed to be taken as a whole (old fashioned I know) and mirrors the souls quest through the world, redemption and rebirth. Everything was performed "live" by me except for the beautiful emotive singing of Cyoakha. Most of the "synth"sounds were actually done on my basses.
The poems were the first things that came to me..

I played in a couple of cool world-fusion bands and I have archived their work here..
